diagnosis 2015

For me, this year has been very fast, however, it has been a year of great learning. I arrived at the big city of Santiago without knowing much and without too many expectations,  that was a huge challenge that involved working with a bunch of strangers, the location of new streets for me, and adapt to a style of life which I was not used to. I have met great classmates, now I live with my grandparents whom I've known better, and Santiago provides opportunities that other cities in the country are not. I have taken courses on music with wise teachers, I have learned a little of Portuguese and improved my performance in English, and I have attended large concerts and cultural events.

On the other hand, my health has did not go so well this year, I've fallen sick and cold  more often than I am accustomed (about seven times so far of the year!!). Once I was two weeks in bed without much physical energy to do my activities, that was terrible for me.

I am usually be very active and there are always things that have not done yet or I still have to do. For example, I would have loved to enroll in a football team, or I would have loved to learn some musical instruments, have more time to play it, but I know that calmly, I can do it in the future.

Finally, I would like to highlight all the knowledge I have obtained in the career and the good people I've ever met in Santiago.

How green I am??

Nowadays, more and more people get interested about environmentally friendly practices because we are changing our mentality, we are opening our eyes that we live together, on the same planet and we have to take care about it.

We do not recycle much truth, there are still many difficulties for to do it,  for example, there are no large public policies that finance recucling industries or campaigns that inform and enable the participation of citizenship. I also believe that in the country we live in, in which inequality is so great, the concern of recycling is irrelevant, I mean, one of their latest concerns.

I use the bike a lot, I think to use it bring many benefits, they are incredible: you save the passage of locomotion, you exercise your body, you avoid the stress and congestion of the morning, you arrive with energy and enthusiasm, as well you reduce your carbon footprint, and I could continue this long list…

I have supported eco-organisations as Patagonia Sin Represas or No al Punilla, I consider it is very important to preserve our water wealth, the “future oil”. Also I have stayed in public demonstrations against the privatization of the seed “NO a Monsanto”. I think on Santiago is missing to improve public transport to decongest and reduce the excessive number of cars in the city, it is essential to be able to talk to the other to change our consciousness.

This photograph has a great story that I want to relate you. It was taken on 2012, probably on the month of November. I was 16. We were the better team I have ever played, playing the championship final of the Chillán amateur Soccer Association. I remember I was not in my best conditions because it hurt me a foot, the right food (I’m right), but a nice friend gave me a lotion that allowed me to play. We went to the field under a sun that burned us. It was a “locked” match, and an unfortunate move cost us dear. We began losing until we could finally have control of the ball, we started to touch it with confidence and we got turn the dial, finally, the score was 2-1. Anyway, this photograph represents for me the joy of soccer, the joy of a group that working together achieved the cup. Is not the cup the important thing, do not misunderstand me, this picture reminds me the efforts, the jokes and all the happiness expressed in the square, with a big smile at us faces. Now I am far from Chillán, but I will never forget them, what a good players and people

Future Job

I would like to have a calm job, I don’t want to work more than 40 hours per week, I would love to work no more than 5 hours by day, I think that would be enough for me, I prefer to have more time to spend with my family and to develop other skills. I would like to be an independent worker because I don’t like to receive orders; I like to develop my ideas without limiting. I imagine my job as some enhancing, some that makes me happy. I can’t imagine doing it indoor, locked up all the time in an office, I imagine going to the communities, working with them, and going to many different places, off course I would like to travel a lot.

I am studying the major of sociology because I can not stand the social injustices, I look forward to understand social phenomena, and I would like to have some theoretical tools that career give to me. I would love to continue studying, gain knowledge of geography or history for example, to do post graduate studies, or to study a completely different career as musical composition.

When I become professional I’d love to do many researches, I have many ideas in mind, but still me many years to study to achieve that.

Pets

For me, pets are part of family and home. I lived with a dog for 16 years, his name was "Trosky". My father find him inside a box in the street. At that time was only a puppy, with some months of life. He was a beautiful lapdog, with a lovely black coat with brown stripes, with the passage of the years, some dreadlocks were formed on his head and it was so stylish. He always was a good dog, he take care of us and the house. . Trosky was incredibly agile and cunning, he used to escape when we just opened the door but after he always came. I remember that once he fought terribly with another dog, with a Rottweiler, and and was severely injured. However he was a strong dog and he recovered, we had to cure him for a long time and He could then return to be as before.

 Last year I lived away from my house, on another country. Then one day my mother called me to tell that he had died. It was of course very sad, I miss him a lot, but I have the memories of the good times we had together

Food

My favorite food is pizza, especially those who have mushroom and those who have a crunchy  pizza dough,  I really enjoy it when is well coked. At home, I've grown accustomed to healthy eating because my mom makes the food for us with very little salt, almost nothing. On the other hand, I drink my tea, infusion, coffee, milk, whatever, without sugar. People said me: how can you drink so sugarless? But for me is nice, while something is too much sweet I can’t take it. I drink a lot of mate, I really enjoy to share it to start a good and long talk, of course I take it completely bitter, is delicious. Not everyone like to drink it because for some people it is very strong or because they do not consider it tasty. I think those who are of the South or the farm they will understand me.

Concert experience

I really like music, so I have had the opportunity to enjoy many concerts in my life. One of the best concert I have ever been was on Chillán, it was about two years ago. I met with my friends and then we went to the principal square of the city to see Joe Vaconcelos. He is a Chilean/Brazilian artist that I admire a lot, because he introduced new popular rhythms as Brazilian samba, afrosoul and reggae on a way that I had never heard in our country. Also, the lyrics are very nice, some of them talk about positive things, another’s are a social criticism, and I really appreciate that. We felt incredible, we danced a lot and sang their songs, and there simply was such a joyful atmosphere. After the event, we went with my partners to a friend house to dance more to continue the party all night long.
